The Macopin Middle School PTA will be seeking nominations for the 2009-2010 PTA Executive Committee. The officer positions (one year terms) are as follows: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Recording Secretary, and Corresponding Secretary. Nominations must be submitted in writing to a member of the nominating committee and accepted by the person being nominated for one of the positions. Please note, that you must be a Macopin PTA member, in good standing, in order to be considered for one of these positions. If you are interested in joining the Macopin PTA, please contact Membership Chairperson, Rita Firmender at 973 853-5032. The election will take place May 14th. FUN FAIR is coming! We need teams of students and parents, and lots of 'em, to man crafts and games! This is a lot of fun for our 6th graders to help run, and a great photo op for the yearbook Fun Fair pages! It's also one of the last things you can do alongside your child, before they head off to middle school! Please contact Sue, Cathy, or Casey to indicate your interest; first come, first serve basis on getting the craft or game YOU want to host, so hurry! Fun Fair is 7-9pm Friday, March 5th. In many cases we already have the supplies for your game or craft! Contact us TODAY!

Overview:
The 6th grade year is an exciting one for UGL students and as chairpersons for 6th grade we need help from all the students' parents/guardians to help make UGL Class of 2010's year great!
We'll be collecting kindergarten and baby pictures for the yearbook as well as any candid photos you would like to share of the students through their years at UGL. You can email them in highest resolution to us or provide hard copies with your name to be returned at the year's end.
Each 6th grade student will recieve a class tshirt and yearbook. T-shirts are worn for field trips and 6th grade activities all year. In order to fund the tshirts, yearbooks, and end of year dance, 6th grade runs the 2 family Bingo nights and the Fun Fair so look for notices about these events. The 6th graders really enjoy calling Bingo and helping at the concessions tables as well as running the games for Fun Fair!
Please notify us of an email where we can send all 6th grade information in order to minimize paper use during the 2009-10 school year.
