Assemblies Committee:

This committee works closely with the principal to provide 
quality and educational programs funded by the PTA for in school assemblies.

TREP$  Market Place - After School Club:

This committee helps plan, organize and oversee the 8 week PTA sponsored after school program for 5th and 6th graders.

Bake Sale:
 
This committee runs the bake sales during Parent/Teacher conferences in November as well as during the Winter and Spring Concerts.  Tasks include requesting and receiving donated baked goods, establishing pricing, set up/clean up and volunteer scheduling.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED to bake or provide baked goods.

Best Man Dance (Dance is held every other year - the next dance is scheduled for February 2014):

This committee organizes a dance for girls in Pre-K through 6th grade with their Best Man (Father/Step Father/ Grandfather/Uncle/ Guardian/ Favorite Family Adult Friend).  Responsibilities include paper work, tickets, entertainment, requesting donated baked goods, snacks, beverages as well as decorating, set up and clean up.

Beautification Committee:
 
This committee helps plan, plant and maintain the 
garden beds, flowers and trees on our school grounds.

Book Fair (Fall/Spring):

This committee organizes the book fair.  Sets up and breaks down the book 
displays, helps students select books for parental approval during  their "browsing sessions", helps find children's selections during their "buying days" and helps during evening hours (one evening) for parental shopping.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED to help out during the book fair - to assist the children in picking out books for their wish lists.  If interested please contact Krista at (973) 749-6103.
      

Box Tops for Education:

Box Tops for Education is sponsored by Betty Crocker and is 
similar to General Mills Box Top Program. This committee will provide a collection bin, counts and sends in the Box Tops for points/credit for our school.

Campbell's Soup Labels:
 
This committee collects, bundles, and sends in the Campbell Soup labels for points/credit for our school.

Class Pictures: 

This committee helps on picture day and the day scheduled for re-takes 
to make sure the student's order forms and money are 
handed in, their hair is neat and in place.

Clothing Drive (Fall/Spring): 

This committee sets up a collection date, 
collects donated items at the school on the designated Saturday and waits for truck pick up.

Not sure you can committ to a specific committee but want to help.  This committee maintains  a list of individuals that may be able to help out if available.

Fall Fundraiser - Cherrydale Catalog: 

This committee prepares and sends home the order forms then collects the orders and money. They also organize and distribute the merchandise on delivery day.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED to assist on pick - up days and to help distribute the merchandise during the parent/teacher conference days.

Halloween Spooktacular: 

This committee plans a night of fun with games, photos and treats!  They also collect donations of bottled water, soda, snack size bags of chips, juice boxes/pouches and baked goods.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED to help set up, clean up, decorate, donate items for the concession stand, help out with the many game tables, work the concession stand.  We ask that all volunteers wear costumes.
    

Holiday Shoppe:

This committee helps students select inexpensive gifts for 
their families for the holidays.  Merchandise would be set up on tables prior to the event, which is held in December during school hours.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED during the day to assist student shoppers with selecting items to purchase.  We cannot accomodate little siblings at this event.

Hospitality:
 
This committee collects and/or purchases baked goods f
or PTA meetings, Teacher's luncheons as well as any special
PTA event (this does not include committee events). They also set up and clean up after the events.

Ink Cartridge and Cell Phone Recycling:
 
This committee sets up a bin for collection of empty laser & inkjet cartridges (toner catridges can NOT be accepted) and cell phones and sends them in to earn points for our school.  The PTA redeems the points for cash on name brand technology and recreational products.

Kid Stuff Coupon Book Sale:

This committee organinzes the sale of the Kid Stuff Coupon Books and sets up the distribution of the books sold.

Publicity: 

This committiee would attend the various school events (assemblies, concerts, classroom 
activities, parties, special guest speakers, etc...) in order to take photos, provide a brief description of the event and submit them to Principa Novak for approval before sending them on to the local papers.

UGL Student Scholarship: 

The PTA Board reviews the  applications of graduating West Milford High School seniors who are alumnae of UGL School  as potential recipients of the Albert E. Pecci Memorial and Mrs. Lori Pointkowski Scholarship Awards.    Albert E. Pecci was a long time Principal of UGL School who passed away and Mrs. Lori Piontkowski was a school teacher at UGL for 30 years and currenly volunteers her time in the Nurses office assisting Nurse Mary.

School Spirit:
 
This committee is responsible for organizing ongoing 
sales of school clothing.  Can be available on Back to School night as well as run a sale in time for Christmas delivery.

School Store:
 
This committee is r
esponsible for running the school store which is held each month during lunch periods.   They are also responsible for purchasing and selling merchandise, establishing prices, set up and clean up of the “store”.

Sixth Grade Activities: 

This committee is made up of 6th grade parent volunteers.   They plan fundraisers to support the 6th grade activities as well as compile and complete the 6th grade yearbook.

Spring Flower Sale: 

This committee prepares and sends home order forms, collects the orders and money. Places order with Eden Farms. Sends 
coupons out to all who purchased for pick up @ Eden Farms @ the purchasers convenience.

This committee maintains and updates the PTA website.

Variety Show: (students in grades 4th, 5th and 6th grades are eligible to participate):

This committee organizes the event, distributes and c
ollects the "acts" registration forms, previews the music, chaperones dress rehearsals, compiles the music and program.

Field Day:  This event is planned and run by the Physical Education teachers, but many PTA volunteers are needed to make it a success. 

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED to assist with set up, running the numerous games planned and clean up.  If interested please contact HeatherCommorato at (973) 853-7639.

Media Parents:   We have a brand new media center with many new books.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED to assist the school Media Specialist during the day with organizing books and helping with the book return process.  If interested please contact Mr. Novak at (973) 853-4466.
Food Fund Drive:

This committee will organize the food fund drive to be held before the Thanksgiving holiday.
